Another 75,000 Construction Jobs Lost in the US

According to the latest report from the U.S. Department of Labor, Construction employment declined by 75,000 in January, with nonresidential specialty trade contractors losing 48,000 jobs and accounting for the majority of the decline.

Since December 2007, employment in the U.S. Construction Industry has fallen by 1.9 million. 

In January, the number of unemployed persons in the U.S. was reported to be 14.8 million workers.

  1. No kidding , rough isn't the word for it,i'm 48 and for the first time in my life i do not know which way to turn . 20 years in a small shower and mirror shop i can not make ends meet. I looked at schooling but to study and do what, prior to this job i was 4 years with the ARMY 20 years ago who's looking to offer someone like me a job where he can pay his bills and feel like a man again, it's hard on me, 2 child supports , rent , car , insurance and everything that life is about is almost, i don't know,i'll figure it out. unemployment S---S
